"I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do."-Helen Keller, American author and lecturer (1880-1968)

Child advocacy is at the heart of PTA's mission and vision. Taking action provides both parents and PTA leaders with the resources to become more involved with their community at home and their community across the nation. PTA provides the following services to assist advocacy efforts and allow parents to stay knowledgeable about key issues affecting children:

Speak Up - Use this service to connect with policymakers at the local, state and federal levels, as well as your community and the media. Stay up to date on important legislation affecting children and education.

Member to Member Network - Join PTA's Advocacy Network that helps you stay informed on federal policies affecting children. The strength of this network can help you secure effective laws governing the care and protection of children and youth. This is a simpl way to get involved and really make a difference in the lives of children.

This Week in Washington - Learn about what's happening on Capitol Hill and about legislative issues affecting families, schools and communities.
